Diversity & Inclusion

At Eccleston Lane Ends Primary School we aim to celebrate the diversity within our community and the wider world and develop confidence in individual identity through our tailored curriculum. We strive to promote equality in all that we do and we use examples of where this has not always been the case in our society in the past to support learning and promote tolerance. It is a key part of our 'Building Blocks for Learning' curriculum pledges.

All learners are of equal value

We see all learners and potential learners and their parents and carers as of equal value:

  • Whether or not they are disabled

  • Whatever their ethnicity, culture, national origin or national status

  • Whatever their gender or gender identity

  • Whatever their religious or non-religious affiliation or faith background

  • Whatever their sexual identity

Please take a look at our diversity and identity curriculum map below to see an example of how equality for all learners is embedded into our curriculum.  Whilst Inclusion, identity and diversity are central to all we do, this map provides an overview of where specific links are made. Please refer to the subject specific curriculum maps for National Curriculum objectives.
