The old miniature house, glance from the distance. The window's where crusty, The stairs where used, The roof was pealing. There was only one life ring to save someone's life. What if there's more than one person? What would you do?

The view from the house was gorgeous, but why isn't the house gorgeous? The wood of the house was rust-covered, The wood of the fence was nearly all gone. The house had a river !BENEATH IT!

The house was built upon a large rock. There was no way someone lived there. They don't own a boat so they can't go anywhere. I think the inside probably looks worse than the outside, I doubt that the windows have no glass.

The crooked wooden house sat on top of the grey jagged rocks in the middle of the fast flowing river.
Under the green roof of the old battered building , there was a red and white round life belt swinging in the wind.
The green tall bushy trees swayed near the edge of the blue water.

On top of a jagged rock, in the middle of a freezing, cold lake, miles and miles from any sort of social community, a single wooden shack stood silently, lonely and sadly. The crystal, clear lake sat alone in the depths of a deep, dark forest. The forest sat at the foot of three icy, intimidating mountains. In the heart of this beautiful landscape, balancing carefully on a tiny, rocky island (which was probably only twelve foot three across and twenty foot from top to bottom) was a battered, wooden house.

The deserted house had survived many strong storms but had only half a roof, no door and shattered glass. The roof was wooden, as was the rest of the shack and had chipped over the years of silence, loneliness and darkness. Where the door was meant to be, there was a only rusty iron hinges and a scrap of metal, that could have been used for anything. The windows were jagged, dangerous and deadly. Shards of broken glass had been scattered across the rocks. The outside was bad but the inside was even worse.

Inside the battered, broken shack, was strewn with metal, books and chipped wood. There were no rooms, everything was crammed into one corner, four cabinets on one wall and a single bed on the other. The wooden walls looked horrendous! Horribly horrendous! The walls were the worst. Covered in burns and holes. Errgh! Cobwebs lurked in every crevice. Yuck! The petrifying marks were carved in the wall. Argh!

The whole house was horrible. Why was it there? It didn’t fit in with the landscape at all!

Strange, peculiar, interesting the unusual house would tempt yourself to go inside. Gentle waves sloshing against the somehow tall, large rock in the middle of a lake would make you swim there. How was it made? Nobody knows. Why? No answer, only theories. Made of wood and stone, it waits for a person to find it but, no one can...

Dust swings around hoping to be cleaned but it can't. Algae grows upon the stone wanting more land to multiply on but, the rock won't expand. The lifeboat underneath expects to be used one day but, it never will.

The small , rejected, unusual house balanced on a large rock with jagged edges on a uneven surface . In the middle of a deep ,calm aqua ocean, clear as crystal. Surrounded by ever green trees in the distance. Whilst few clouds were visible the sky remained bright.

The house resembled a shed possibly not occupied for a long, long time. This would be a perfect spot for a bird watcher. Tiles looked shabby on the roof top. The scrap wood was holding the house together. The white panels there stud a inflatable rubber ring for safety. The Georgian style windows remained closed in good condition.

In 1968 a group of boys struggled against the waves of the Drina River and found safety on a rock that was in the middle of the river. After a while they realised that the rough surface and jagged edges of the rock weren’t exactly the comfiest place to stay, so they decided to swim back to the shore and bring wooden boards on which they would continue to rest. When there had been enough boards for lying on,they started to arrange some of them vertically to shelter themselves from the sun and thus an idea was born. The wooden boards were brought by Milija Mandic, the young boy who thought of the idea of the Drina house, and his friends in summer of 68 where soon after washed away by the untameable Drina River. Nobody gave up on this amazing idea for this out of an ordinary house. The following summer, the(at the time)seventeen year old Milija assembled his little group of friends with the intent to finally finish what they’ve started and build a place they would be able to stay for their summer break at the rocky house. To transport the materials they used boats and kayaks, and the larger pieces they would simply be lowered into the water and then pulled on the rocks.

Fact:A proper house was built, and Drina got a new friend and one of it’s biggest tourist attractions.

The house is wooden, the house is on a medium rock. The house is surrounded by water, on the edge of the house there is a life ring. To get to the house you have to ride on a canoe.

The unusual house is situated in a river and has been built high up out of the water to stop the house from flooding at high tide. Be careful when you step out of your front door because you might fall in the water. There is no way of getting in or out if you don’t have a boat. The house is extremely small inside but It would be quite easy to make yourself at home. If you like shopping you can’t really go without a way of getting out and also you would be in the middle of the river so your stuck anyway.

As I looked at the lonely, wooden house it reminded me of a bird perched on a rock.I half expected it to flap its wings and fly away, but instead it just stood there looking back at me. Each window was like a beady eye peering out across the misty lake. As I took one step closer to the water's edge, I spotted a person standing on the wooden balcony and I wondered who it was and if they were stranded in the house...

The house is made from wood, with painted reddish brown wooden sides, a wooden tiled green roof and wooden windows with a wooden porch. It has no chimney and it stands on a concrete base which supports the structure of the house, with concrete columns. The concrete base has been built on a rock formation on a lake. It has a small pathway leading from the water to the house and there is a metal ladder which must be used to climb up from the rock to the house. There is a life safety ring hanging from the house, this will be needed if anyone falls into the water.

As a trembled through the dark, mysterious forest, I seen a hint of light shine in between the trees. I got closer and closer. I looked down and seen my shoes blanketed in sand. Further and further I went. Lay there was a boat. A wooden boat. A wooden boat that looked lonely, sat there on its own. I decided to get inside and go for an adventure. As I sailed, I put my feet up and fell asleep.

I woke up and found myself lying there on a rock. I wondered to myself,”Where am I?”. I turned around and staring at me from behind was an oak and claret house. It was floating peacefully on the water. My boat was gone. I stood up, built a bit of courage, took a deep breath and walked nervously into the house. CLASH! I walked in and the door slammed from behind me. I accelerated to the door and it wouldn’t open. It was locked. Devastatedly, I had my head in my hands as I cried there with nothing to save me.

The unsafe cabin in the middle of a river in the middle of nowhere. Why would you live there, the waters are too choppy? Inside lives a couple and their son, they are squashed in like sardines!
To travel from the land to the island they use two kayaks. The son has to sit on one of their laps. While the woman goes by kayak to get food, the man and the boy fish.
In winter, the river freezes and they slide across the ice on their bellies. The boy has to walk two miles to school.

The weather in the background is lovely and sunny with a few clouds in the sky. The house is brown and has a green roof, yellow window frames and is standing on a big rock, in the middle of a lake. It looks like there is a boat house underneath, with a lifebuoy hooked on the side.

The unusual, strange house stands isolated in the core of a beautiful, crystal-clear sea. Waves crash onto the large, prominent rock, as the house rests on top. The sea shimmers as sunlight reflects on to the water. The yellow window contains nothing inside but blackness, dark, dull blackness. A wooden balcony is attached on to the side. Life rings lay upon the hooks. Red paint covers the building, with a topping of rotting, green paint at the rooftop. Bundles of trees surround the water, enclosing any further human interaction to the house.
