Hello everybody,
I would like you to watch this video and retell the story in your own words. Make sure that you are being as descriptive as possible and using a variety of sentence types to interest the reader. Think about which sentence types you can use to interest the reader and build suspense. How can you make the reader want to read on after reading your first sentence?
You are welcome to complete your writing in your 'Home Learning' books or you can just post it as a blog straight onto the website. I recommend that you use Microsoft word so that you can keep saving your work as you go along and it won't be lost if the website automatically refreshes.
Choices of sentence / words types to use:
- 3_ed sentences

- subordinating conjunctions (A WHITE BUS)
- coordinating conjunctions (FANBOYS)
- embedded clauses
- Speech
- Short sentences (to create urgency)

- metaphors
